My name is Jane and I’ve been baking at home since I was a kid. What started as any other hobby quickly became a passion, and by high school I thought I wanted to pursue culinary school and pastry as a profession. Perhaps out of fear or the need to follow a conventional path, I forfeited that dream for a university education, and worked in consulting and corporate strategy after undergrad.
However, my love for baking never quite left me as I worked part-time jobs at bakeries and cafes outside of business hours. From nearly a dozen jobs over the years, I built experience baking in professional kitchens and am now running a small business with pop-up and catering gigs. I still work full-time in tech, but am slowly inching toward my goal of having a career in the food industry.
